The Challenge

PE Composites manufacture the fibreglass structural element of a Personal Survival Pack (PSP) which is primarily for the use of helicopter aircrew in the event of emergency egress.

Our Solution

The moulding is manufactured from woven glass and polyester resin in a hand lay-up process and has a gel coat finish. The two mouldings are produced in female moulds and are hinged to form the container, with the joint between the mouldings occurring in an aluminium extrusion.

The Outcome

PE Composites produce these items in small series runs as required by our Client
