We began as Patrick Engineering Limited in 1955, supplying precision engineered components to customers in the defence and commercial sectors. In 1982 we acquired the design and Glass Reinforced Plastic (GRP) expertise of J Samuel White & Co, which strengthened our service to the composite manufacturing market.
In 2004 we restructured our business and became PE Composites Limited, providing customers with a leading 360 degree service. We supply consultancy, manufacturing and support at each step of the component specification and production process.
Our markets have expanded from our origins in the defence and commercial sectors to encompass the design of composite structures designed for extreme conditions. New markets include the marine and renewable energy sectors, and we have recently developed an innovative jet fire and blast protection solution, which is initially being offered to the oil and gas industries as an effective fire barrier for oil rigs and petroleum plants.
Private venture capital-funded composite research and development is underway to create innovative smart composite materials that can be utilised for applications like stealth management and to integrate components within composite structures. We have already enjoyed success with this, through the development of our Antennas on Composites (AoC) concept.
We have over 50 years experience supplying precision machined ferrous and non-ferrous materials and over 30 years developing the latest techniques required to produce composite structures for our clients. We are continually learning and innovating to maintain and build on our position as leading composite structure designers and manufacturers.
